Jessica Buikema

Student Intern

It’s so lovely to meet you! I am Jessica, and I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I serve individuals and groups in South Florida. My hope is for you to find true healing from the past, have compassion for yourself to navigate the future with freedom, and have a deeper understanding of who God is. Therapy is a lot of hard work and investment, and I’d love to be part of that journey with you!

I love connecting with others and want to create a safe place for you to come and be yourself. The counseling room is a sacred space where the power of a simple question and the act of listening can heal. I want to help you find God in whatever you are going through, and I have learned that our past hurts can also be our greatest teacher.

Since 2005, I have had the honor of working with college students. Talking with them and watching their lives change through their vulnerability and courage made me want to pursue a career in counseling. My approach is genuine and casual, with empathy and absolutely no judgment. I want you to be empowered and challenge you to grow and change with goals and the tools to move forward. We will also laugh and have fun together!

If you are ready to begin the counseling process, take the next step and schedule an appointment with our office.
