Crysti Laney,
Master’s Level Intern
I am passionate about coming alongside individuals struggling with relationships, anxiety, depression, doubt, and self-esteem. I incorporate Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing with a Christian worldview. My treatment is tailored to best address the needs of my clients to reduce suffering and distress.
I have lived in multiple locations in the US while my husband served as a naval pilot. This has given me a deep understanding of transitions, job changes, raising children in diverse settings, and a heart for strangers. I have been involved in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and have worked with my church on international outreach for years. My background in Nursing and Communications has given me extensive experience in providing a holistic approach to counseling.
In Psalm 1, a wise person is likened to a tree planted by streams of living water. This is a beautiful image of how one needs to be rooted and fed by Christ. It is also a reminder that to grow in wisdom, we seek wise counsel that will support us in truth and grace.
